Daniel Sanchez

Jose Daniel Sanchez (Danny) went home to be with our Lord on July 4th, 2024. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Cathy Frances Pimentel; his beautiful daughter, Sherry Belinda Pimentel; his grandson, Kenneth Mateo Leija; and his parents, Josie and Edwin Sanchez. 

Danny is survived by his daughter, Duana Pimentel, and his son-in-law, Dustin Hale(Sherry Pimentel). His grandchildren Leila Leija, Christetta Boyer, Gabriel Pimentel, Brianna Chavez, Antonio Pimentel, and his eight great-grandchildren. His brothers Pat (Pam) Sanchez , Edwin (Jean) Sanchez, and Steven Sanchez. His nephews and nieces Milo, Tonia, Leslie, Kimberly, Cynthia, Rebecca, James, and Chanel.

 Danny was a warm-hearted, loving person who saw the good in everyone. He was always cheerful, full of laughter and smiles. He sure did love his cat (Sapphire). He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, yard sales, and, of course, the flea market. He loved his family so much that he wanted nothing more than to be with them once again. He is now with his partner and daughter, watching from above as we say our last goodbyes. 

We welcome everyone to attend a celebration of life mass at 11:00 AM on August 9th, 2024, followed by interment in the columbarium of both Daniel and Cathy at the Cathedral Church of St. John, 318 Silver Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. A reception will follow at the Cathedral’s Kaseman Hall.
