January 8, 1960 – December 19, 2022
Damian passed away on Monday December 19, 2022, at 8:30 PM at the age of 62.
Damian is survived by the love of his life, wife Dorothy and two children Annette and son -in-law Alan Gurulé, Epifanio and daughter-in-law Judy Atencio, sister Meredith (Dee) Vickers.
Grand children Venessa Cordova (Mario), Rashelle Browning (Brandon), Alexander andLourdes Atencio. He also leaves behind many bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Grace Lemoine and two brothers. Damian was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up and lived most of his life in Port Allen, Louisiana.
Damian was a resident of Cuba, New Mexico for over 40 years. To many he was called Dooba, Pops and Papa but no matter what you called him he was the best person you could ever have on your side. He loved people and would help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors, and his greatest enjoyment was fishing the Chama River. His fishing partners were Gary Hoodless, Sid Quintana and Ray Sisneros. They would seize any opportunity to go fishing but their favorite days to fish were the longest day of the year and the shortest.
Services for Damian will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023
Rosary at 10 am, Mass at 11 am - Immaculate conception Church in Cuba, NM. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall
Damian will remain forever in our hearts, always in our thoughts, forever in our memories.
