On Thursday January 5, 2023 our hero, Chris W. Brown passed away at the age of 59. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Andrew “Harry” Brown and Edwina Brown. Chris leaves behind the love of his life; his wife, Shelley Brown, his sons, Nathan Brown, daughter in law Ashley Martinez-Brown, Kevin Brown, Christopher Brown and his grandson Kaleb Brown. He also leaves behind a large family and a group of friends who loved him very much.
He proudly served our Country in the U.S. Navy, in particular the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) also known as the Seabees. While in the Seabee’s he coordinated many volunteer construction projects to various organizations in New Mexico.
When his boys were younger, he volunteered his time coaching youth football and baseball and created a bond with many of the young players.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and loved the beaches of San Diego. He was known for his radiant smile, his outgoing personality, gregarious laugh, quick witted humor, fierce determination and generous spirit. He will be missed but not forgotten. Chris will be laid to rest in the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full honors on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:30 pm.
