Cecilia "Cece" Salazar

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecilia "Cece" Salazar, who peacefully gained her wings on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the tender age of 38. Cece had bravely battled illness for some time and had been receiving medical care since early January of this year.

Cece's memory will be cherished by her loving husband Dominic Martinez, her beloved children Ethan Ortiz, Ebony Martinez, and Deleesia Martinez, her devoted sister Ester Salazar, her caring brothers Thomas Salazar, Steven Salazar, Damian Martinez, and Donovan Martinez; as well as her mother-in-law Annabel Martinez and Grandma Joanna Salazar. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a vast circle of friends whom she held dear in her heart.

Preceding Cece in eternal rest are her beloved mother Georgia Salazar, father Rodney Martinez, grandparents Herman and Beatrice Salazar; aunt Tammie Finley; uncle Sammuel Salazar; and cousins Jeremy Finley, Jenny Montano, Tina Salazar, Kenny Salazar, and Kyle Martinez.

Born on July 1st, 1985 in Santa Fe, NM to Georgia and Rodney Martinez-Salazar; Cece lived most of her life in Albuquerque. She was a woman renowned for her kindness and compassion towards others. Whether she was spending time with family and friends or caring for her cherished dogs Cheena and Ivy - Cece's love knew no bounds.

A celebration of Cece's life will be held on Tuesday, February 13th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1301 Osage Santa Fe, NM) starting at 10:00 a.m. The rosary and funeral mass will be conducted during this time. On Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., Cece will be laid to rest alongside her mother Georgia at Rosario Cemetery.

Following the burial, a celebration of Cece's life along with food and drinks will be held at the FOP in Santa Fe, NM on Airport Rd from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

In memory of Cece, we remember her unwavering love and light that touched the lives of so many. May she forever rest in peace.
