In Loving Memory of Carol Chavez
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Carol Chavez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who was called to eternal rest surrounded by her family and friends on July 14th, 2024 at the age of 73. Carol was a woman of faith, gentle kindness, and an abiding love for her family.Carol is survived by her two sons, Louie Maldonado and Dominic Maldonado. Louie, along with his wife Manica, blessed Carol with three grandsons—Angelo, Anthony, and Adam—who were the joy and light of her life. Her son Dominic, together with his wife Sabrina, brought Carol immense pride and happiness.Carol was a cherished sister to her three brothers and three sisters. Her brother Robert Chavez and his wife Ruth, her brother Rudy Chavez and his wife Diane, and her brother Steve Chavez and his wife Cecilia shared a lifetime of love and memories with her. Carol’s sisters, Rita Chavez, Anita Chavez, and Michelle Torrez and her spouse Ben Torrez, were her closest confidants and friends, sharing in her joys and sorrows. Carol was also a loving Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Carol enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an avid traveler, and loved visiting her grandsons whenever she had the chance. She loved listening to music and dancing. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a kind word, and pray for those in need. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Carol's legacy of love, compassion, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.The family takes comfort in knowing that Carol is now at peace in the presence of our Lord, reunited with those who have gone before her including her Parents Robert and Della Chavez, nephew Johnny Chavez and niece Tracy Beauchamp. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain in the lives she touched and the memories she created.A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on August 22 at 10:15 a.m., followed by the burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family invites all who knew Carol to join in celebrating her life and sharing in a time of fellowship and remembrance following the burial at Holy Rosery Catholic church, with food and refreshments.Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
