Bo Brown

June 2, 1975 — December 22, 2023

Bo Brown, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, coach, and friend, passed away
peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and friends, on December 22, 2023. Born on
June 2, 1975, Bo's life was filled with music, family, and coaching that touched the hearts of all
who knew him.

From the moment he could walk, Bo had a guitar in his hand and a song on his lips. Following in
the footsteps of his father, Freddie Brown, his love for music led him to play at local bars and
venues at a young age. He later became the prominent lead singer of the band "Desert Rain",
capturing the hearts of many with his soulful voice.

Bo loved spending time with his young son and daughter, Cole and Taylor, and took pride in
coaching them in football, basketball, and baseball. In 2005, he moved to San Francisco,
California, where he worked as a car salesman for Ellis Brooks for three years. But his heart
always remained in New Mexico.

In 2008, Bo returned to his roots and decided to pursue his music career full-time and in 2010,
Bo released his debut album “Why Not Believe.” With his band, "The Bo Brown Band", he
quickly became a popular touring act in the Southwest, mesmerizing audiences with his sultry
velvety voice and storytelling abilities.

In 2010, Bo welcomed his second daughter, Bo Bailey Brown, who inherited her father's voice,
charisma, and attitude. Bo continued to play music while raising Baby Bo, who often joined
"The Bo Brown Band" during sound checks. In 2012, his second son, Scout Presley, was born,
and Bo decided to retire from music to be at home, raising and homeschooling his children.
Bo and his wife, Raelina, spent 14 years in the South Valley, building their home and nurturing
their family together. In recent years, Bo once again, took on a title of a coach, and dedicated
himself to coaching Scout and other youth in football. His motivational motto, "If your mind
believes it, your body will follow," inspired many young players, who often felt like family in his
presence.

Bo cherished his family above all else, leaving behind a legacy of life lessons that will resonate
forever. He is survived by his loving wife, Raelina, sons Cole (Lizette) and Scout, daughters
Taylor and Bo Bailey, grandchildren Sherlyn, Cole Jr., and Titus, mother, Dodie, brothers Adam
and Ares, sisters Nadine, Dione, and Morricia, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins,
friends, and companions.

The pallbearers who will carry Bo to his final resting place are Vic Aguilar, Sonny Garcia, Chris
Gutierrez, Danny Herrera, Paul Romero, and Sean Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers include, Bubba
Brown, Roberta Brown, Kiowa Marquez, Leslie Marquez, Zerrick Ponder, Gordo Ramirez,
Pablo Ramirez, Donny Tesso, and Ben Wilcox.

Bo Brown's music, love, and coaching will be remembered by all who had the privilege of
knowing him.

He leaves behind a legacy that will forever echo in the hearts and souls of those whose lives he touched.

May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the
stories, songs, and lessons he shared with us all.
