Beatrice Pilar Soto

Beatrice (Bea) Pilar Soto, 80, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away gently and peacefully on July 31, 2024. 

Bea was born on October 2, 1943 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Valentino Romero Sr. and Julia Romero. She was the oldest daughter in a family of 12 siblings. 

She was blessed with a large close knit family of 4 children & their spouses, Faith Hope & Herman (Jr.), DeAnna, Julie & Robert, Bryan and 3 step-children, Daniel & Glee, Steven, and Christopher; as well as 10 grandchildren, Alejandro (Alex) & Cassandra, Abelino (Ave), Janell, Jacob (Jake) & Christina (Crispy), Raymond, Scarlett & John, Herman III (Jay Jay), Matthew (Matt), Bryan, Caleb and step-grandchildren Nicholas, Daniel, Amanda, Nathan, Aubrey, Colin, Melissa, Jennifer and Christopher. 

She was also blessed and loved greatly by four great-grandchildren, Brianna (BriLynn) Alexis (Lexi), Madelaine (Mattie) and Veronica (Vero) and seven step grandchildren. She is also remembered by countless other relatives, nephews, nieces, and family friends that she called her own. 

A devoted wife of 60 years and dedicated mother that worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She worked as a caregiver and nanny for countless children providing love, guidance and support. She also had a passion for cooking and left many delicious family recipes that have been passed down for generations. 

Strong, hardworking, kind and caring, Bea’s love for her family was unparalleled and she always put them 1st in everything she did. 

Preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Louise Soto, her parents and 9 of her 12 siblings. 

Those who knew Bea know that she was a very private person and wished to have a Celebration of Life so that family may console each other and share memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1-5pm at the Rotunda at Science & Tech Park 801 University S.E. Albuquerque, NM
