Athochila (Athocha) Jaramillo, 102, The last of the Mohicans born August 27, 1922.. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 11, 2024. Athocha was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy, Children, Maria, Daniel, and Larry, her parents Justo, and Carmelita, Siblings, Lorenzo, Antonio, Damascia, Richardo, Reyes, Benadita, Irene, Pablo, Jose, Manuel, Gregorita, Senovio. Athocha is survived by her kids, Eloy/Judy, Frank/Maria, Bernie/Roberta, Victoria, Debra and a mix of 47 grand/great/great great grandchildren with only one great grandchild being named after her. She had many nieces, nephews, and Friends too.
She belonged to the Legion of Mary at St. Terese Catholic Church and was a member of Candelaria Quilters. Her family donated the land for the Church and School in Juan Thomas.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Ryan, Adam, Felimon, Theresa, Valerie, and Samantha. Honorary Pallbearers will be Martin, Michelle, Robert, Rhonda, Filomena, Chelsea, and Shaw. Funeral Services will all be held at St. Terese Catholic Church on December 18, 2024. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 6:00 pm with the viewing and visitation to start at 5:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 am with the burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
