Anthony Phillip Martinez also known as Artist A.P. Martinez, Born December 4th,1953, Passed away on February 27th,2025.Anthony was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM and a current resident of Los Lunas, NM from 1995 to Present. Anthony was a loving and caring husband, father and brother. Anthony was known for and dedicated to his Art Medium in Stone Sculpturehonoring the Native American Culture, known for his realism of Native Faces, Nature of the Eagle, Hawk, Bear, Buffalo, whimsical Dancing Bear, Fetish Bear,Mother and Child carved in stone. Anthony truly was gifted and anointed with his Art by the Creator GOD and JESUS of Nazareth whom he accepted as his Personal LORD and SAVIOR in prayer with his sister Lucky. That was a very important time in Anthony's life and he wanted that to be known and remembered. His Love for GOD, family, mankind, nature, humorand what he did showed in his life and work. Anthony also dedicated and loved spending time with his family and cherished his camping and fishing trips with his brothers, nephews and dear friends.Anthony spent many wonderful years in Questa, NM with his grandfather J. E. Ortega, Uncles, Cousins, and Siblings. If Anthony was not talking about Questa,he would be telling you about his memories of fishing and camping with family and friends. Anthony is preceded in death by his father Joseph Rudolpho "Rudy" Martinez, mother Mary Ursula Ortega, Maternal grandfather Jose Eulogio Felimeno Ortegaand Maternal grandmother Antoina Rosita Ortega; brother Richard "Rick" Martinez; sister Mary "Lucky" Chavez (brother-in-law Raymond Chavez), and Kathryn "Kathy" Baca (brother-in-law Lee Baca); nephews Pete Chavez, Michael Ray Chavez; and great-nephew Micheal Chavez; and sister-in-love Anna Pearson.Anthony is survived by his wife of 40yrs marriage Evangelina "Vangie" Martinez ; Sons Anthony Joseph "AJ" Martinez (Partner Endion and Honorary grand-daughter Ophelia);Jonathan "Jono" Martinez; daughter Rebecca "Becca" Martinez-Baca (Justin Baca); and Honorary Son Gregory "Greg" Smith (Z Smith); brothers Joseph Paul Martinez (Isabel Martinez); John Martinez; Charlie Martinez (Leslie Martinez); and Patrick Martinez (Partner Renee)Anthony has numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces. He loved each and every one of them dearly and Anthony would make it known and a point thathe WAS THEIR FAVORITE Uncle.
