With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Anthony, who was called home to our Lord on March 7, 2025. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on April 3, 1962. He joins his son, John Najar, his father, Joe, his brother, Steve, his nephew, Little Ronnie, his grandparents, and many cherished aunts and uncles in eternal peace.
Anthony's memory lives on through his devoted mother, Gloria, his loving daughter, Brittany (Olivia), and his siblings—Joe (Linda), Lupita (Manny), Rick, Ron (Cindy), and Lisa (Xavier). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and humor.
Anthony was known for his love of poker and his unwavering loyalty as a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He competed in many poker tournaments, and his proudest achievement was placing second in the Heartland Poker Tournament in 2012. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Anthony’s absence leaves a void that no one can fill, but his legacy will live on in the memories, stories, and love he shared with those closest to him.
Pallbearers will be his brothers, Joe, Rick, and Ron, as well as his nephews, Andrew, Gabriel, and Eric.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 24th, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Fe. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at Christian Life.
