Anna May Zamora Perea, born on September 27, 1945, in Clovis, New Mexico, was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. On September 10, 2023, she peacefully returned to her heavenly father. Anna's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who cherished her.
Anna is survived by her daughter Connie Zamora Robertson and her husband Brian, as well as her son Mariano Zamora and his fiancée Judy Archuleta. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Jose Benavidez, Amaris Benavidez, Marian Zamora, and Madelyn Zamora. Anna was blessed with several great-grandchildren: Ezekiel Benavidez, Azelyia Benavidez, and Zoe Elijah Benavidez.
In addition to her immediate family, Anna is also survived by two nieces/sisters whom she held dear in her heart: Yvonne Zamora Murphy and her husband John as well as Gloria Garza and husband Alberto. She treasured many other nieces and nephews, including her Godson Frank (Pancho) Zamora.
Anna was the last surviving sibling of several brothers and a sister. She is preceded in death by her parents Mariano and Aurora Zamora and her siblings Rumaldo (Sam) Zamora, Ignacio (Nash) Zamora, Rudolfo (Eloy) Zamora, Mariano Jr. Zamora, Jose Zamora, and Mary Lee Zamora (twin sister of Mariano). She now joins them in eternal rest.
In 2014 Anna mourned the loss of her beloved husband Raymond Perea who has patiently waited for their reunion in the afterlife.
A celebration of Anna's remarkable life is being arranged with details to follow. Her ashes will be laid to rest in a place that will be announced in due course. The entire family of Anna extends their heartfelt gratitude for the support and sympathy received during this difficult time.
