Anne-Marie Lehmann of Corrales, New Mexico died peacefully September 23, 2023 in Rio Rancho. Born August 13, 1942 in Kingston, Ontario, she lived across Canada and the United Sates before working in sales positions at Eastern Airlines in Georgia, Missouri and California. After her two children entered graduate school, Anne-Marie pursued and completed a BSN at Rockhurst Research College of Nursing. She became a Certified Nurse Practitioner, and her favorite role was running the clinic at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, a position from which she retired in 2016.
Anne-Marie had a passion for global travel – for a time she escorted orphans from Southeast Asia to their new homes in the United States. She had a flair for decorating, saw the dramatic side of all events, read extensively, and loved animals.
Her husband, Bill McCulley, and daughter, Lisa Heiszek, predeceased her. Survivors include son Stephen Heiszek (Carlee), granddaughter Cate Heiszek, sister Colleen Walker, niece Kim Walker, grand-niece Kyra Walker, and brother Michael Doyle.
Anne-Marie’s family is particularly grateful for her enduring friendships with Patty Wiltz and Deborah Brem. They wish to thank Angie, Veronica, and Imelda for their wonderful care.
The family appreciates all thoughtfulness and requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations go to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, an animal shelter in Rio Rancho.
