Anastacio Marquez Jr. peacefully passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born in Seboyeta, NM to the loving parents Juanita and Anastacio Marquez. Anastacio is survived by his devoted wife Rita, his beloved daughter Martha Marquez Wheeler, his cherished grandson William Wheeler, his adored granddaughters Gabrielle and Danielle MacCharles, Michael Hedgeman father of great grandchildren Gabriel and Kimber Lee. Also mourning his loss are his sisters-in-law Mary Marquez, Charlotte Marquez, Frances Marquez, and Rosalie Pichette.
Anastacio was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandmother, brothers Alfredo Rosendo Orlando and Rosendo, as well as sisters Eduinia Jaramillo and Lenore Chavez. Brothers-in-law Jake Martinez, Robert Marquez, Luis Jaramillo, and Pat Chavez also preceded him in death.
Throughout his life, Anastacio held various noteworthy positions including employment at Douglas Aircrafts in California, serving as a member of the City of Albuquerque Fire Department, and thriving as a car salesman and real estate mogul.
Anastacio proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was honored for his service.
Besides his professional accomplishments, Anastacio found joy in pursuing various hobbies such as horseback riding, bowling, pool playing, and dancing.
His warm heart and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A funeral service will be held on December 14th, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr SW in Albuquerque, NM 87105.
The rosary will begin at 8:30 AM.
The Funeral mass will start at 9:00 AM
