Alexander Lucero, beloved son, brother, Uncle, & friend passed away on January 11th, 2024 at
the age of 38. His departure has left a void in the many hearts of those who knew him.
Alexander was born October 15th, 1985, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Alex was such a light in this
world and captured the heart of many from the moment he was born. He impacted countless
lives during his brief time with us.
Alex was a part the NM Film Industry and has worked on many projects around New Mexico. He
made a name for himself amongst his colleges and loved his film community. His passion for
acting and film started while attending Highland High School. Alex cherished all his friendships
and treated these relationships like family. He made long last connections that show to this day
what an amazing person Alex was.
Alex is Native American; he comes from San Carlos Apace Tribe and San Felipe Pueblo but
was raised a city boy in California and landed in Albuquerque. The last few years Alex took time
to try and reconnect with his Native American roots and engaging in the culture and traditions
from both tribes.
Alexander is survived by his mother Jonell Cassadore; his father & stepmother Paul & Debra
Lucero, His sister & brother in-law Nina & Jorge Pena, his niece Hailey; His sister Holly, nieces
Allura & Alfatihah aka Fatee; His sister Nayeli & Partner Kirk, nieces Nicolette & Jalissa &
nephews “Pooks” aka Nicolas & Noah; His brother Justin & partner Marina, nieces Ashley &
Kamaeya, nephew Kevan; His brother Tanner & partner Carrie, nephews Tobias & Dante, niece
Izabella; Yamie & partner Shay, nephews Devin, Ezekeil, & Aniahst, niece Dracia. Alexander is
preceded in death by his grandparents Florence & Leonard Pacheco.
Although we may mourn the loss of Alexander, let us also celebrate his life with profound
gratitude for havening been blessed by his presence. May his spirit and life continue to inspire
us, his soul calm us, and his energy encourage us to embrace and value one another. As we
say goodbye to our beloved friend today. Let us remember him for his amazing hugs, his
vivacious laughter, and beautiful soul that he shared with all of us.
Viewing will be held at Trujillo Family Funeral Home on January 20th, 2024 from 12-1:30pm,
Alexander will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Cemetery on January 20th, 2024 and a Celebration
of life to follow at Valle De La Luna 5401 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 from 3-5pm.
