November 14, 1959 – October 12, 2024

In the celebration of life of Alejandro “Alex” Luis Trujillo, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. Born on November 14, 1959, in Española, NM, Alex later moved to California, where he and his siblings were raised by their loving parents. His journey was marked by a deep love for family, service, and generosity.

Alex was the beloved son of Ed Trujillo and the late Ernestine(Tina)Trujillo. He is survived by his father, Ed Trujillo, and his devoted sisters, Yvonne Lovato and Eleanor Hutt (Timothy Hutt). He also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Tina Villa (his goddaughter) and Amy Kor, along with their families, and his nephew, Nicholas Hutt. Alex was preceded in death by his precious mother, who he adores Ernestine (Tina)Trujillo, his best friends who were like brothers, Anthony Martinez and Michael Herrera, and his cousins, Darlene and Kathy Herrera, who were more like sisters to him and his cousin Steven Herrera and good friend Val Donahue. He now joins his grandparents, aunts, and many other beloved family members in eternal peace.

Alex attended Pasadena High School and continued his education at Pasadena College. Following his college years, he proudly served in the United States Air Force for 8 years, where he demonstrated his dedication to his country. After his military service, Alex began a successful career at AT&T, where he worked for 15 years. That career lead him to Albuquerque, NM where his family all followed. He later became a supervisor at Southwest Airlines for several years, where he was admired for his leadership and dedication. Eventually, Alex retired after serving the city of Albuquerque, leaving a legacy of hard work and commitment in each role he took on.

A man of incredible heart and selflessness, Alex was known for his willingness to help anyone in need. He would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar to someone less fortunate. His passion for life was rooted in his deep love for his family, and he cared for them above all else.

Alex was also a passionate sports fan, always cheering on his favorite teams—the LA Dodgers and the San Francisco 49ers. His enthusiasm for the games mirrored his zest for life, and he shared that joy with those around him.

Though Alex’s passing leaves a void in our hearts, his legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for family will live on in the memories of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Services will be held at Journey City church at 1:00pm. 300 Menaul Blvd NW, ABQ, NM 87107. Followed by a reception. Any floral arrangements please contact Eleanor 505-463-6742.
